Landed up in the Landscape game and have been self employed for the last 20 odd years, (There!s got to be an easier way to make a bob or two). Have kept up on the musical side (Note "F" Flight Lines drying room) in fact to this date am semi Pro, done my bit for auntie beeb and all that. The main hobby is Amateur Radio GM0SHD and at present am the senior morse examiner for Tayside. Married to Violet for 36 years have one son and one daughter and two grandchildren. Have moved to a bungalow in the village of Nafferton from a house in the town of Driffield . Main pastimes are now playing golf, caravanning and doing all the odd jobs around the home. The last two with 50TSU going on exercise to El Adam (three times),Greenham Common and a proper job in Zambia during the oil air lift. Medical discharge in 1967 due to Acne( really it's true) which was a bit of a shock as was civie street. However after two years with Wayne Kerr and five with Marconi I got over it. Spent the next 28 years working in the Nuclear Power Industry until I took early retirement in 2001. Thought I had better get out before I started to glow in the dark. BUT early in 2004 I went back working part time as a consultant. Been married 38 years to Wendy, our son married a Japanese girl and they live in Japan and our daughter has changed career and is a second year student nurse and is still at home. | |

- Only recently found this
web site (by accident) Since leaving Cosford (Halcyon days?) I went
to Lyneham, Aden, Cyprus, Libya, Borneo, Northolt, Uxbridge. leaving
the service in 1971. I then worked for three months as an undertaker,
but gave it up as a dead end job, but not a dying trade. (I think
I had the wrong attitude for it). I then joined London Underground
as a booking clerk. (better than working for a living). Became involved
in a work Christian Fellowship, becoming the lay pastor. Managed
to get a degree in Theology and was ordained (free church), before
suffering a severe heart attack in 2001 which gave me a nice, medical
retirement with enhanced pension. Now, I just enjoy living. |

- After Cosford did a stint at Stanbridge, was able to live off
camp at my parents house in Leighton Buzzard. Moved to Coltishall
& subsequently posted to 2ATAF (NATO). Left the RAF after a
few years. Worked in various overseas locations, am now living (8
plus years now) in Thailand & have
a pub/club in Pattaya. Status
now I suppose is retired with a hobby! After all this time my memories
of Cosford are rather hazy but some of the names I recognise &
those with e-mail addresses will be contacted. Would be happy to
see old colleagues who fancy a holiday in Pattaya, just contact
